Simple Veal Chops (Serves 2)

May 4, 2018

  • 2 x Veal chop steaks,

  • 5 x  Fresh Sage leaves,

  • Sprig of fresh rosemary,

  • 2 x Garlic cloves  (Crushed),

  • 3 x tbsp. of olive oil for marinade,

  • 1 x tbsp. of olive oil for the veal,

  • Salt & pepper to taste,

  • Griddle pan.

  1. Heat the griddle pan until hot,

  2. Tenderise the veal chops with a tenderiser on both sides.  I normally lay them on a chopping board and then add a layer cling film on top before tenderising,

  3. Oil the chops and then add the seasoning you desire,

  4. Add the veal to the griddle pan and cook for around 8 minutes per side,

  5. Whilst you grill the meat, prepare a large plate big enough to hold both steaks,

  6. Add the chopped garlic, rosemary, sage and olive oil and mix,

  7. When the steaks are ready, move them to the plate with the herbs, coat both sides, cover and leave to rest for 5 minutes,

  8. I serve this with a simple green salad with olive oil and lemon.
